American Rifleman: December, 2016

I just finished reading this month’s American Rifleman, and I enjoyed every article in it.  My two favorites were about pocket pistols and Pearl Harbor.

I have been considering a pocket pistol off and on for quite some time, so I found “A Wise Precaution” by Mark A. Keefe, IV, to be an interesting article. It highlighted the changes both in design and legislation that have been turning points in the developmen of small, inexepnsive handguns for defesnive carry.

“Remember Pearl Harbor!  The Men and the Guns” by Matin K.A. Morgan, was a neat story about the men who fought back agains the Japanese Fighter Planes during the attack.  Of this, my favorite story was of a soldier who left the guard shack to shoot at an incoming plane, machine guns blasting away, using only his 1911.  The Japanese pilot later commented about the bravery of that move. This story was a great read.

Thank you for reading my post.
